Come join us for an evening celebrating an impressive historic structure right on our doorstep and to play a part in supporting Sustrans with their plans to give it a new lease of life as a cycling and walking path.

Nottingham BikeWorks is kicking off its monthly calendar of events with an event celebrating Bennerley Viaduct. Bennerley is an impressive wrought iron structure spanning the Erewash Valley 6 miles West of Nottingham. Plans to bring it back to life as a walking and cycling path will offer Nottingham cyclists a fantastic traffic-free route on our doorstep, forming a crucial link in the Nottingham-Derby walking and cycling route. Kieran Lee from Sustrans will be here at Nottingham BikeWorks on Friday 2nd June to talk about the viaduct’s history and Sustrans’ plans to bring it back into use as part of the National Cycle Network.

Doors open 6pm, event starts 6:30pm. Tea/coffee and snacks will be available.
